It`s that time again!

August; and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Bogota, Colombia has opened its doors to the artists of Colombia to present their works at the August Salon. All formats and styles are considered by the curating team and that is what you will see there, although there is a preponderance for the newer styles, especially electronic/digital arts and for younger artists to get the opportunity to present their work.

I have to say that this Museum is one of Bogota`s best – though unfortunately as it is slightly off the beaten track of most tourists or even the city`s public it is not given the attention it deserves. Even the design of the building just tells us that it is a gallery! I definitely think it worth a visit if you are an art lover. Take time to talk to the staff as they are very friendly and ifnormative.

Directions:

As it “hidden” off the Calle 80 (going out of town before you reach the small San Francisco Mall which will be on the left after the set of traffic lights where you should have turned right). You can take a Transmilenio Bus there and then walk around 5 – 10 minutes. If you get to the main Transmilenio Bus Station then you have gone way too far. You should then ask someone as the side streets are a little confusing.
